What do you suggest to keep track of your finances?

I'd like to know of ways to keep track of my money. I'm a college student, with not much income. I have some money spread over stocks, savings, and banks. Right now i'm not too stressed for money, but later on when I get out of college, move out, get a job, get my own place... i'll have a ton of bills to pay. So what methods, or software can I use to keep track of these things? For now, I just have this stuff in an Excel sheet.

I use MS Money. The online account updates are nice (for the banks they work with).

Although I've had issues a few times, where Money will update my account info, and somehow get confused and totally mess up my balances. Usually have to go in and manually remove the problem, or recreate the account and let it redownload the info.

Can be made to work with computer-based software but I just use it entirely on the web.

i know how much i have in each account at all times within a couple thousand dollars (401k, money market, checking acct) I pay everything by CC, and all of my expences only ends up being like 4-5 bills at the end of the month.

you can use the online CC to track all of your purchases and running balances.

anything more than that is not needed if you are responsible with yourmoney.

I use Quicken. Bought a year-old version on ebay for under $10.

MS Money 2007 (free with tax software)...too bad it can't update my account balances with First Tennessee 'cause of their dumba$$ security...

both those worry me a bit... i don't know if i want to just give all my financial info over to google.. i've given them enough. heh

I just use MS Excel and make my own financial spreadsheet. It helps you to understand what really is going on with your finances as well since you are forced to write the equations
