Summer, 78F. Winter, 65F. I set the programmable thermostats higher in the summer and lower in the winter while we're not home and at night but those are the temps for normal occupation hours.

Toying with it now 1 degree at a time. Right now on 72. Might go to 73. Basically until i get uncomfortable. Problem with my split level is the downstairs gets super cold but the upstairs is like 8 degrees warmer. I think cold should rise lol

While we're at home: 72 in the summer and 66 in the winter. I have it on a schedule, though, so it will let the house get warmer/colder during the day (depending on season) and then cool/heat it to the temps above by the time we get home. I find that in the summer, I often manually lower the temp to 68 or 70 -- costs be damned, I want to be cool.

68F in winter, 81F in summer. The office where I nef is typically 90+F, so I have a nice sized fan on me at all times that makes any temperature comfortable.

n/a

I can't control my heat during the winter and I don't have central AC for the summer.

my 3 window air conditioners tend to be set to lowest fan speed + coldest temperature by default and adjusted as needed (if it's an especially hot/cool day, I have company over, etc)

This poll is somewhat ineffective as my AC is. The room that I do personal computing in and work from home is always 2-3º warmer than the what the thermostat reports is the ambient temp. I use a portable digital temp gauge and when seated at the thermostat is in sync.

So, if the stat is set to 68ºF the room I'm in is usually 71ºF. In fact, the first floor can be set to 70ºF at its stat and the rooms are overall cooler than any of those on the second floor.

Summer: 72 during day, 68 while sleeping. I really hate being warm at all.
Winter: 65, unless people are coming over then I'll turn it up to 70 or so.

79 in the summer
60 in the winter

Used to not use heat at all during the winter but as I got older my hands would ache if it got colder than 60 in the house.

77 right now.

Can't imagine having it in the low 70s the damn thing would run all day long.

76 in summer (though AC struggles and it's often more like 80 midday come Late July/August) I put my master bedroom in the basement, darker, cooler, and quieter... rarely gets above 70 down there.

68 in Winter.

Right now, mostly windows open. However, on a warmer day I may set it to 78-80 in the summer and maybe 66-68 in the winter.

My house is heated with a wood burning stove so I don't know.

Work keeps the place at freakin 68 (same temp as the server room). Its FREEZING.

My blower is undersized (I'm sure there is a joke there somewhere) so a setting of 76 downstairs results in 78-79 supstairs which is about the point at which I can't sleep well anymore.

I think I will have to go through and re-balance the house again this year *grumble*
We do have it on a program though

Yea you need to close the vents downstairs a little and full open on the 2nd floor in the winter. Then reverse in winter.

Even if you got a bigger unit it would still do the same thing unless you moved the thermostat every season change.

67 degrees for my house. That is for the heating unit, don't have or really need A/C where I live.
