I say "I read on the intarweb..."

I actually said intarweb the other day and one of my friends at work just looked at my weird and walked away.

Normally "someone I know on AT told me..." or sometimes "someone I know from the forums..." (if the person i'm talking to knows about AT or i've mentioned it already in this particular conversation)

Yeah i'm the same.

Intarweb is a very dumb word....it's like where kids call a cow a "moo moo" just a waste of time....

"Someone on the 'net said. . . ."

Else I say, "on the 'net forum I frequent. . . ."

I don't just say "my friend".

If it's from an e-mail correspondence with someone I've never met, then I say: "A 'net friend of mine said. . . ." or "A 'net friend whom I correspond with via email said. . . ."
