Haven't purchased a cd for 8 years. But if I did rip stuff it would be 320VBR MP3.

192cbr for quaility and portability reasons (seemed to be the best bang for the buck). I listened on headphones and any difference I thought I could tell took serious listening and attention and really comparison to the source so was overkill. Really 160Kbps was doable, and 128Kbps was fine too, but, 192 was not much more storage space and did offer some advantages.

Ah well, old argument, it's subjective, and that's what I use.

192... no point in going any higher.

You need to get yourself some decent headphones or speakers.

Are we going to start another "there is no audible difference between X bitrate and Y bitrate" argument?
