I regret majoring in EE. I am still in school right now and while that in and of itself isn't much to complain about (top 10 EE grad school, totally free + living stipend, etc.), all of my friends are in med/dental or some other professional program and are going to be making boatloads more money than me when all is said and done and we are all out working.

I like what I do and if all careers paid the same I would stay where I am, but the truth is they don't. I regret not majoring in something more lucrative.

I met a dental student who basically said he majored in dentistry because he figures everyone will get bored of their careers eventually, and he said he might as well be bored early on, but make good money and not have to work long hours. Maybe he has a point.

For someone smart enough to do EE, maybe I am a sucker after all.
