If you had to choose between sci-fi or fantasy which one would it be?

--edit--
Just vote along the lines of what you think is sci-fi and fantasy.

A lot of people would argue that SW is really fantasy.

Fantasy...and vote accordingly. Tolkein, Robert Jordan, Terry Brooks, etc. Doesn't mean I don't like Sci-Fi...just not as much.

lets not get into that. You should just vote along the lines of what you think is sci-fi and fantasy.

Defining anything on this board is next to impossible.

Sci-fi. I hate Fantasy. It's one of the reasons I like Stargate SG-1. It's about as realistic as you can get for a sci-fi show.

I remember when I was in about fourth grade, it was around Halloween, and the teacher asked us if we wanted her to read us The Headless Horseman, or Legend of Sleepy Hollow. Lines were drawn, and it errupted into quite a heated battle. She let it go on for a little while and then told us they were the same thing.

There are a lot more interesting ideas in Sci-Fi but Fantasy has such wonderful character development.

Yeah, Star Wars is fantasy with space ships. The Force is not scientific by any measure.

No, LET'S get into it! The poll is going to be tremendously skewed, because the nitwits around here think Star Wars is Sci-Fi.

"But as Lucas and Producer Kurtz quickly point out, Star Wars is not science fiction but space fantasy. 'Space fantasy allows you more rein to say what you want to say,' explains Kurtz. 'So that's what we call it.'"
