Exactly.

Never had Smirnoff. Have had some cheap (8.50) Gordon's vodka before, and there's no comparing it to something like Stolichnaya.

If I'm drinking cheap vodka I use OJ, cranberry juice, Arizona lemon iced tea or grapefruit juice, one can really use anything, although juices work best to cover the taste.
If I'm drinking good vodka, I rarely do anything else than drink it neat straight out of the freezer. Occasionaly I'll pour a lot of vodka(8 oz or so), get some ice and add a splash of some kind of juice.

I think I'm going to try a more expensive kind sometime... something that tastes a little less like rubbing alcohol

We mix with coke all the time, just last night matter of fact. Its never our first choice though... its more along the lines of "All the other chaser is gone, what else do we have laying around here that we could use?" When we ran out of Hawaiian punch last night we ended up mixing with coke.
