Had an awesome porterhouse this evening, and i just marinaded it in some soy sauce and black pepper for half an hour or so before hand. It was a really nice thick cut of meat, and it tasted awesome

what do you folks use for marinade?

I'm interested to hear what you guys do too... I've just sprinkled some spices on them and put them on the grill in the past so I would like to try marinating them sometime.

Lately I just throw some Montreal seasoning on it, drizzle some olive oil over it and let it sit for about 10-15 minutes.

I actually quite enjoy these rub marinades that some company sells (la grill, I think). They're great. Montreal Steak is the one I usually use, but my wife finds it too peppery.

Rub marinades with Montreal Steak spice on top. But I have tons of spices....I mix it up. Sometime just BBQ sauce with spice and no maranade.....I love steak....gonna go BBQ 1 up now I think.

Salt and pepper for good cuts. Montreal steak seasoning for not-so-good cuts. A good steak doesn't need any seasoning or sauce.

i find that if you don't leave the steak marinading for too long (so the flavour doesnt override the steak flavour) then it's just complimenting and adding to the taste- not masking the awesomness of the steak.

Dale's Steak Sauce is good. Along with your choice of seasoning. I tend to rotate as I currently don't have a favorite seasoning blend on steaks.

Zip lock baggie I overnight put my steak in and:
2 cans of beer
some water
Soy sauce
Wachaster sauce (SP)
Garlic cloves
Bay leaves
Onions
And large ammouts of hot sauce.

Next day fire that up medium rare and enjoy :)
