What do you look forward to?

Simple enough question. What keeps you looking forward? Some people have kids. You come home every day and watch them grow.
Some people have projects to keep themselves busy. Maybe restoring a car.
Some people look forward to games. Perhaps a MMORPG raid or crushing their foreign enemies beneath their tanks.

What do you have?

As an atheist I have asked myself this many times. For the longest time I was unable to answer it. But recently I got to thinking that I live for the next day. I love seeing what we as humans come up with each new day. I look back and see how far technology has progressed in my short 20 years and I can't even begin to imagine what life will be like in 60 years.

So to answer the question, I look forward to tomorrow.

The key to happiness is keeping your expectations low. With expectations on the floor, you'll often be pleasantly surprised.

That's not an excuse to be lazy or not strive for better things - it's a mindset that will lead you to better appreciate what you end up with.

It helps to have a positive mindset too. I mean, you can still have low expectations and still have a pissy time. But for the most part you're right.

The real key to happiness is to drink water from Philadelphia.

Exactly. (see sig)
Staying humble keeps life entertaining.

Also, it's not like we all just stay alive because of tomorrow... but it's easier to just experience life and let time pass. Most people don't even think about why they continue to live.

Living life has a degree of certainty, even if you live in an uncertain lifestyle.
Post-Death is the most uncertain existence.

vacations. i always have something in the works.

planning things to do with family and friends

Easter, cause i'll get to see all of my family

i have this saying framed and up so i can see it every day, "Every day may not be good, but there's something good in every day"
just a reminder that there is always something, even a miniscule something, to look forward to.

I wouldn't mind the cold weather going away.... I recall you living further north in NY than myself, so I'd imagine your conditions are fairly similar (except maybe snowier from the lake effect snow). I've been wanting to play some tennis lately, but the rain we've been getting has been soaking the courts on the only nice days :(.

i don't think we've seen bare ground here much since November.
this past weekend we had trees down because of ice/sleet/snow buildup on them. it's been a horrid winter here. :(

i just want to go outside and not see snow and be able to go for a run and not have a cold wind biting at me.

Right now I'm looking forward to lunch. After that it's vacations; I have two trips coming up before the end of Summer, so I'm really looking forward to those.

Completing my biggest dream, of course! When people grow up they tend to forget what made them happy when they were kids, and its all about your dreams, if it is possible, do it, dont be another victim of the "real world" crap

I might not have a reason to look forward to tomorrow, but I know tomorrow is another step in the path I must walk to reach my dreams, so I will gladly keep walking until I get there
