What do you load from an Audigy CD?

What are your recommendations on what to load from the audigy cd bundle? I currently only have the drivers loaded, but I wanted to know if you find any utilities/progs should also be loaded. I would download the most recent ones on creative's website, of course.
Thanks!
Mike

A while back I purchased the gamer edition. Pretty sweet card, sounded great, but I really had no need for all the demos and extra featues that I loaded up.

Mostly, from day to day, I found myself using just the control panel to switch back and forth b/w speakers and headphones. The sound enhancement options, like Concert Hall for example, always seemed to make my in-game sounds echo like crazy. Very annoying.

You might find it better off just to download the drivers from creative's website and avoid all else. There really isn't anything useful with all the "programs" they give you.

I had this same problem, ATI is the worst they don't tell you what your installing and you end up putting on programs you'll never use. Even if you use the advanced set-up, the dialog box won't describe the software.

Don't bother with the software package, I say. Unless you have the Gamer Edition and want to install some games.

I got the Gamer edition because it was $69 at CompUSA after rebates, there's no difference between the Gamer and the regular ZS 2 otherwise. I'll probably throw the games in the trash as I have no need for them.

Thanks for the replies. I wanted to see if I needed anything past the drivers themselves for eax support and whatnot for games. I don't want to bother with AudioHQ or anything then?

Actually, with a "Drivers Only" installation, everything is still there. The programs are just kinda hidden. You can find some of them by poking around in the Creative directory.

As little as possible, and the Organizer (I actually like the ripper for low [128] bit rate mp3z for my portable players.) That's it. I use iTunes for ripping everything else.
Tas.
