I find it difficult to be able to sit down and read .PDF's on laptop and desktop computers, does anyone use any type of e-book reader to read them, if not what do you use?

I read tons of ebooks on my Sony Reader (PRS-500). Having said that, fullsize PDF conversion is not good on it (or any ebook reader) at present. The PDF really needs to be designed with a smaller screen format in mind. Most of the books I read are in TXT, RTF, DOC, or BBeB format.

People here actually read books? You coulda fooled me... ;) IAC, I prefer the paper kind. I print out the PDFs and other doc files that are important/useful to me and put them in a 3-ring binder.

I have been using the Amazon Kindle for a couple months and I find it works great for me. The Whispernet is great I can get a new book on the road and it meets my needs perfectly.

I use my trusty PDA. Worlds better than sitting at a computer, but still not like the printed page. I've never tried a real ebook reader, so I can't compare.

I realize that a tablet would work great for PDA's but it's just that the cost makes them prohibitive.

I use my iPAQ. 4" touch screen and VGA res. It works for my commute since any book that I carry with me usually gets a little damaged over time. I prefer real books when I'm at home.

I'd be interested in an iRex iliad, but they're too expensive.

MA, How's the book selection? I'm mostly into Sci-Fi Fantasy Adventure so I'm worried about a limited selection to choose from. Also how do ebook prices compare to the conventional book prices? Cheaper? More expensive?

Thanks,
Skott
