What do you keep in your car?

and what containers, if any, do you use to hold everything?

Just bought my very first car (yay!). Just wondering what you guys see as necessities to keep in your car.

More curiously though, what containers(if any) do you put it in? i.e. I'm sure you're not throwing the emergency triangle/folding shovel/whatever straight into the trunk by itself. Do you wrap it in cloth/plastic bags so it doesn't rattle? Or have you bought some car-specific bags to hold things in? Just a duffle bag in the trunk?

i just got a new (to me) car and i just keep my weight belt, my straps, and my wrist wraps in the net in the trunk. i also keep an "emergency" kit in there as well, that has like jumper cables, some tools, etc. in it.

other than that i am not keeping anything in my car. i'm trying to really keep it clean. i did have my tackle box in the trunk for a bit though.

I keep very little in my truck. A pair of sunglasses, a pair of reading glasses, burned CDs, a microfiber rag, a flashlight, and a pair of gloves. It is all stowed in compartments and out of my way. I do not like shit rolling around the vehicle...EVER. I bought some of those Sterilite plastic bins with hinged lids and latches to carry stuff in the bed when I go to the lake house so I don't have to worry about weather. They are strapped down so they can't slide around. I don't like crap in my vehicles and I especially don't like stuff sliding around when you take a turn.

10 baseballs
2 bats
3 baseball gloves
soccer ball
5 pairs of shoes (3 pairs are cleats)
ACL knee brace
small first-aid kit
small tool kit with gloves
4 bottles of water
old tennis ball (for my dog)
rainproof jacket
legal pad, pens, leather folder, and new client kit
handgun
and probably some other stuff

most of it is in a Sterlite container some is in a carboard box and some in a gym bag.

It's interesting to hear what kind of "emergency" different people are prepared for.

I keep tools, jumper cables, an emergency blanket, a first-aid kit, and a machete.

A relative of mine keeps enough medical supplies to perform open-heart surgery on the side of the road.

Another one keeps a loaded handgun.

And my cousin keeps a pack of rubbers and some spare pants. 😀

I've got a "full-size" spare, tire iron, 50pc toolkit, two gallons of coolant, 1qt. of oil, a driveshaft carrier bearing, 1qt. of ATF, orange-pumice soap, towels, funnels, jumper cables, and some trim restorer...

Not having a garage sucks.

I have a bottle of windex and a towel in my trunk. Sometimes I take a bike with me, but that great depends on the weather.

In addition to what came with the car in factory condition, I have the following added.

- Registration + Insurance
- All maintenance service print outs for the car
- Tire pressure gauge

- 2 beach volleyballs + 1 NCAA baseketball

Lightweight jack/iron
Coolant (25/75)
Spare tire
Socket set
