Does anyone know how to expand the quick launch? Right now it provides space for 5 icons but I want to add a 6th. I know you can add a 6th (or more) but then the little double arrows show and you can resize it if you want, but it's not locked. I want to increase the basic size from 5 to 6 icons and there must be a reg hack for this but I can't find any info on it.

No matter which computer I'm on, I only put in 5 icons. Here at work, that's:

Show Desktop
IE
Network folder (opens to my folder and highlights my most commonly used folder within that folder)
Outlook
FF

And on my home computer, if I remember correctly, I have:

IE
Media Player
Winamp
FF
Outlook

Try this:

Right click the Taskbar
Un-check the "Lock the Taskbar" option
Re-size the Quick Launch area

The following is optional:

Right click the Taskbar
Re-check the "Lock the Taskbar" option

Hope that helps.

Keeps the desktop clear too.

two clicks? why 2? unless your bar is cluttered w/ stuff. I get the same w/ the start menu.. one to click start, and my most frequently used stuff is pinned.
