Why don't you go back to 1968 and build (from tubes and discrete pats mind you!) an ultraportable television camera that works in harsh radiation and hard vacuum environments then?

Edit: Oh, yeah, it has to be color, interface with the lander's transmission system, be useable by men in space suits, and by your complaint, be better than the one a team of engineers came up with.

Boy. Sounds real easy, doesn't it?
