I like the idea of Torchwood, but I think the execution was mediocre at best. I could never really get into it, and I love Doctor Who.

this. watched all the episodes, could have been so much better. Captain jack just wasn't the same and way too gay (not that it's a bad thing, just that he's supposed to be banging everything with a pulse).

Yeah, Miracle Day is best saved for when the only other choice is a SyFy monster movie.

It might have been better if they cut the length in half, there was so much filler. Shades of classic Doctor Who where they'd spend an extra 10-20 minutes running back and forth in an old mine to pad out the time.
