What do you guys think of this?

Aight. My friend wants to start a gaming site, but it won't really be a site. It's more like a gaming message board with game reviews and stuff. I told him the idea might work since I would actually like something like that. Instead of building a big site, it'll be a message board where he and I would put up game reviews and people can comment on it and stuff. There will also be other sections like off topic, PC gaming, PS2 Gaming, etc. Do you guys think this would be a good idea or should I tell him not to waste his time?

Yea sorta but it won't have a main site like Anandtech, just a message board. Everything goes on the message board, news, reviews, etc.

Well that's true, hehe. I guess i'll tell him to give it a shot and i'll help him also. There was one message board like I have in mind named &quot;Sega City&quot; or something like that. I lost the URL to it when I formatted though but it was pretty succesful and had lots of members.

Wouldnt it be hard to hold a forum with no main page.How would you differntiate between forum topics?Just curious.

By main page I meant like anandtech.com, not the page that says &quot;Off Topic, Hardware, etc.&quot;
