BTW, I want to use the network for mutiplayer gaming, internet sharing, sharing a zip drive, sharing files, etc.

It's slow, if your going to use it for gaming I would get 100mbps network.

I would use the 3Com kits or pieces since it will filter items better and your video will have better rendering for heah to head games over the network.
