I had this same monitor (though it was a white casing)... it's good for the price, and at the time, i thought it was great. But once i upgraded to my current monitor, it's a HUGE difference in quality... but still, for $160... it's a good monitor.

What is a good LCD to get. Some gaming and DVD's, but mainly school work and email. Probably have to be a 17" LCD and would want DVI to go with the Radeon 9700 pro.

If you plan on running a decent resolution I would avoid it. It only does 68hz at 1600x1200,

You should be able to find something that can do 1600x1200@75hz for under $200 (ie .. staples + coupon)


IMO ... tha abillity to do 1600x1200@75 or more is one of the most critical things about a 19inch monitor
