Any incompatibility problems that you see? I'm going to use this for web design and opted to go with the Intel processors because some of the softare I will be using is optimized for it. Is this overkill?

The word Overkill isn't in my vocabulary 😉

Looks great. Although are you sure, just because the software is "optimized for Intel processors", It will be faster than a Tbird? I think all programs are "Optimized for Intel processors" 😛

I work on a Dell 2x P3 866EB security server at work with 1GB of SDRAM, quad Ultra2 SCSI RAID drives. It hauls. 🙂

I'm sure you will have NO problems for quite some time with that similar setup..

😉

Thats just a TAD overkill for Web Development! But you can always play Quake at 10,000 fps when you get tired of coding asp! 🙂

If you're using Photoshop or other similar memory hogs on a regular basis, then there's no such thing as overkill. Going dualie with the added goodness of SCSI should be sweet. I'm planning a similar rig for later this year.

Most people mistake the words "web design" for having Notepad, an FTP program, and IE open at the same time. It's usually quite a bit more complicated than that 😉
