I think somebody here bought 3 of the Polks for a LCR. Wonder if he liked them.

I'd save up a bit more and get one of the ~$200 Hsu-designed subs they're selling -- either the $200 Atlantic Technologies or the $230 Dayon/Hsu.

I have that center, and it's great for the price. However, you want your front speakers to timbre match. Only buy that center if you plan on buying some Polk R50 speakers or two more CSi25 as s44 mentioned. They have the same woofers and tweeter as the R50, so the main difference is the sound from a bookshelf compared to a tower.

I would recommend going with the Dayton 12" for $20 more.

lol im the mysterious person who bought the three csi25s for the LCR setup and im sitting here in my media room listening to LOTR on them. They are a huge improvement over the old sont htib speakers they replaced, and for $60 apiece it was well worth it.

It's the front left and right speakers that are most important - I'd worry about those first.

The Dayton subs are supposed to be okay, though if you're that limited in budget, I would perhaps try to buy used.
