I have narrowed what I want to either the Silverstone TJ09 on sale at the Egg for $269.00 with the window or

Lian Li PC-G70B Goliath Black Aluminum Super Tower with 250mm Fan for $299.00

Its a modded G70B with this

So if you had a $300 case budget which one would you choose since they are close in price to each other?
 
Sorry, I couldn't justify spending $300. on a case - never, no how. But Vin can 😉 . I'm sure he'll stop by to put in a plug for his modified UFO. If I needed a big air-cooled case, I'd be looking at the XClio Windtunnel or one of the Coolermaster Stackers.

UFO + water = usually the norm. Vin's a fruit on air with his UFO 😀 *hiding from vin*

that being said, TJ-09 <--- sexy. I havent seen one moderately built TJ-09 that looked ugly. Build quality like no other. Even higher then LL

IF you can dish out the money, the TJ-09 is a absolutely wonderful case. However in that price range, id also look at the TJ-07. That is almost every modders, extreme computer freaks wish list case. Along with the UFO.


But if you want to save some cash like zep states, i havent found a case worth more then my stacker. Hands down, the best value case in its range ive owned.

As for you, my friend, I just happen to be bench building my machine -- doing a *minor* upgrade to a P4 3.4EE -- and probably some PC4000 Crucial Ballistix Tracers...

UGH.. im awefully tempted to get a UFO now. But if i do, i'll mostl ikely dual mobo, dual system it. It would be nice to have my NAS and Main in 1 box.
 
This seems to be a good time for cases. I don't remember a time when there were so many high quality cases to choose from. I don't remember it being that hard to choose the last time around 🙂

I have built about a dozen mid towers for friends and family and 3 full towers over the past 6-7 years but haven't bought a case for myself since 2000 when I bought an additronics 7896A modded by Jim Hanson. So its been a long time for myself and I want to treat ME nice 😀

Anyway I think I will jump in on the sale at the Egg for the TJ09 before it goes away.
 
I would go with the Lian Li G70, but that's my opinion. Performace-PCs would mod that out and personalize the case for you too.

I agree with aigomorla -- The Stackers are the best big case value for the dollar, and they look decent and are built like a tank (heavy like one too).

However, the TJ-09 wins my vote for the sexiest case award. That thing is sweet. My beloved Stacker may get traded in for one of those...

I'll go thumbs down on the modded G70 -- huge side fans are not my thing.

I might try it knowing your taste in budget cases.
