I'm not a big fan of Maxtor.
WD or Seagate.

I don't like the piano case but that just me.
I'd go true power over smartpower.

If you really need a cheap yet useful case, quiet also.... Antec SLK3000-B. Provantage has em for $30 + $22 shipping = still a nice price.

I thought the S12 430 was overkill, how can you justify recommending 500 watts when max his system won't break 250?
