What do you guys think of the new proposed immigration policies?

i actually think guest worker plan sounds like a pretty good idea as we recognize the need for foreign labor while still upping the border protection.

I had proposed my own plan but it involved putting up guntowers with machine guns and mining areas where people were trying to cross. Some people complained and said I was a racist, just because I believe in protecting our country from invaders. Guest worker plans are a joke. Personally I dont see why we cant have mexicans that come here every year to do farm labor as long as they go back to Mexico in the winter. If we cant get american workers I see nothing wrong with hiring other 3rd world countries citizens to come here and work as long as the have a visa or a passport or whatever. If they are not documented they are just petty criminals who have invaded our country.

Guest Workers is a big scam to get American wages lowered. Despite what you hear there are no "jobs American workers won't do". NOT ONE FREAKIN" ONE!!
There ARE jobs Americans won't take that pay a too low salary for very hard work. Businesses can get enough workers for ANY job by paying enough money.
AND once you understand this simple fact you realize ANY company could hire these Guest Workers for ANY job at all. All a company needs to do is offer a low enough salary so there are not enough American workers willing to take a job. Then the company can hire guest workers.
Heck, guest workers could include ANY job in America.

We buy a lot of organic vegatables that are locally grown without the help of illegal alien labor. Its not really that much most costly.

America was once great because they automated all of the tasks formally done by labour. Instead of fighting automation, how about we fight the dumbing down of the jobs to where foreign labour excels? These people are exploited at TAX PAYER EXPENSE. Who pays for their welfare? The Taxpayer. The price is passed on to the rest of society in a hidden cost. Just because its cost is hidden does not make it okay. Quite frankly good ole American enginuity should make illegals unnecessary.

We have migrant labor laws that already allow some foreigners to help with the harvest. The guest worker program would immediately put millions of laborers in the construction field out of work. It would eventually put computer technicians out of work as India gears up to send a million of them to the US. McDonalds would hire only foreigners so your kids or neighbors kids would not even be able to get a part time job. WalMart would immediatly hire janitors, stock clerks, etc.

Insurance adjusters, secretaries, drivers,etc you name it. Any job could be filled with a guest worker if a company decides to offer a low enough salary so it can claim it doesn't have enough American workers.
