What do you guys think of the Mazda CX-9?

I have to put Mazda's CX-9 as the first CUV that I actually want to buy. It's been a while that I'm impressed with BOTH interior and exterior design for a vehicle.

If I were in the market for a large people hauler, I'd take a Buick Enclave over the CX-9.

I like the Lincoln based on the same platform.

The 2.3L turbo is a horrible choice for that vehicle. Slow, peaky, and requires premium fuel.

Otherwise it's a nice looking car inside and out, like you said.

The CX-9 uses the new 3.5L V6. You're probably thinking of the smaller CX-7.

The CX-7 is gorgeous. It's big brother is bland by comparison. If I wanted seating for seven, I'd take any of the GM lambda triplets over the CX-9.

Yea nowadays everything is some kind of crossover, SAV, SUV, crossover, etc.

If you're talking about gmc acadia, buick enclave and the saturn outlook then I have to say that the cx-7/9 are still better looking.

I do agree cx-7 has an edge on the agressive exterior style over the cx-9 but 3.5L v6 is a better choice.

um... no. you buy an acura TL if you're into tech and don't have unlimited cash. then you have all of the above, plus a car that doesn't suck ass to drive.

Yeh, for some reason I automatically read it as "CX-7" because I haven't even seen a CX-9 on the lots/road. And I drive past a Mazda dealer every day to work. The Ford dealer has a blinged out orange Edge though which is a pretty brash vehicle.

But I agree with you, the Lambda triplets are better looking than the CX-9/Edge. The Saturn dealer has an Outlook on the lots. It's a very pleasant looking vehicle. By all reviews it's incredibly well thought out too with it's interior design and use of space.

but with a loaded CUV, you get all the above and haul six of your friends to go to the ski resort. An Acura TL can't do that.........neither my TSX.
