Any design flaws, manufacturing defects, or just poor components in it (e.g. how does the non-upgraded, non-glossy screen look?)?
 
Everthing looks just fine for a student, or a business professional. I strongly recommend Windows xp professional, and 100GB hard drive is just awesome. you are given many processing options for CPU. However, I don't particularly like the design. Check out the IBM Lenovo laptop's legendary keypad, and you will hesitate.
