What do you guys think of the ASUS Maximus IV Gene-Z/GEN3?

Long story short I had my system broken down ready for spring cleaning, re-tim, redoing the hose system and didn't put the socket protector in... Cats + back claws + climbing + socket for traction = voided warranty - no post

I was looking at the Asus GeneZ (open box) for $128...

I'm no longer running my 9800GT so the third slot is pointless as it's too weak for PhysX and I stopped folding awhile ago. I have no PCI cards or x1 PCIe cards, just two 470s, and 4 sticks of ram.

I have no plans to go TRI-SLI, but I do plan to side grade into Ivy Bridge for benching, and will probably pick up IB once it comes out while I wait for a real next gen GPU and pick up one or two (max) of them once they come out later this year hopefully.

I don't use a case so size doesn't matter, I don't care for MSI (My AMD systems pop their vrms) or Gigabyte (Had a p67 UD4 at release and it was awful), and everything is water cooled.

Anyone seeing a better option for my needs, not looking to spend much over $150 on an open box item. Looking for a decent deal though that's why I'm shopping open box

The motherboard is excellent. IMO the best mATX Z68 board money can buy, and competitive with high end ATX Z68 boards.

"Open Box" can be a crap shoot. YMMV on that.
