I'm about to buy a copy on eBay so I can start making catalogs for my company, similar to the 10-page ones you receive every month or so in the mail from Dell. I'll need to make my own templates and tables and have it be pretty flexible to what I want it to do, but nothing extreme by any means. Is this the software I want to do this kind of stuff? Making single page flyers too. Thanks!
 
Publisher should do fine for what you're trying to do. But, if you could find Quark Xpress for the same price, or even Adobe InDesign you should look at those. Not sure how much Publisher XP is that is why I mentioned the other two.
