this is going to be my first build. i bought some of the components already because they were really cheap on boxing day. so heres the build :

first of all, i am trying to get the best performance/price from this decent gaming build. id like to overclock it too ( not sure if the mobo is good for OC). i also have a budget of 600-650$ and i am from canada

secondly, i wanna make it future proof for the next years ( thats why i got 760k instead of fx-6300, its an fm2 cpu so it can be compatible with the future kaveris) and i am fine with normal settings( doesnt have to be on ultra).

i would also like to know if this motherboard is good for overcloking

any feedback and suggestions are greatly appreciated.

thank you

I5 (real quadcore)and H81 instead. You already selected a discrete GPU and the FM2/FM2+ CPUs are slow and compares at best to dualcore Celeron/Pentium/i3.

what is H81?
A barebones current generation chipset.

Maybe so, but the chances of getting there, and keeping a long-term stable system, with your budget, are slim.

Yes. The stock Intel CPU will be faster than than the overclocked AMD CPU.

Yes. It will destroy an overclocked 760K. It will destroy Kaveri.
Anand doesn't have those exact chips in the bench, but this is basically the difference:

There's a reason they're priced with the i3.
