I just bought it from amazon in a lightning deal for $25.77. Hopefully this is a good price.

I really enjoyed the demo, hopefully the game is as good. Is the game decently long?

Hope i made a good choice!

I got it during black Friday deals, and I'm still in the process of playing it (probably around 6 hours in or so).

So far it is pretty enjoyable. The game is shipping up to be pretty good, but not perfect. inFamous is a fun, simple game that doesn't take itself too seriously. I'd give it an A-/B+. It was definitely worth the $20 I paid for i.

If you do the sidequests and collect the extra stuff, the game seem like it will be decently long. Otherwise, I think you can plow through just the main missions pretty quickly.

I liked it. I doubt you'll find a better price for a new copy anytime soon outside of another holiday sale or lightning deal. I don't remember exactly how long it took me to complete but it is a decent length, especially if you get caught up trying to scour the city for shards and complete side missions. And there are essentially two sides to the story since you can play through as good or evil, so plenty of reason to play it again.

I still need to go back sometime and collect the rest of the shards and complete whatever challenges are left as well as play through again as evil Cole.

Also, don't forget that you can download the Gigawatt Blades free from PSN (originally a Gamestop exclusive at launch).

It's good but long. and somewhat repetitive. I got burned out 2/3rds of the way through and haven't picked it back up. I love the platforming levels though.

I really liked inFamous. Personally, I thought it provided a lengthy overall gaming experience, especially with all the side missions. I played through as the ultimate karmic "hero" and now want to play through it again as the karmic "villain". I definitely enjoyed the story as a whole and the way it was told. For the price you got it at, it's a steal; you'll enjoy it.

Pretty much how I feel about it too. It got very repetitive, but it's still a fun game.

At full price, I would not buy it. But at the price you got it for, then it's worth a buy I guess. Like the others said, it got kind of repetitive and I'm a huge fan of gore and blood so... :)

I liked it a lot. Doesn't look so hot and it can be repetitive but I had fun and I just loved jumping around the city looking for those damn shards. It had that Crackdown type of vibe to it. I'll probably replay it again some day to be a "bad guy" as I was a goody two shoes when I played through it.

Its the best game I've played so far this year, but I haven't played Uncharted 2 yet. If you just stick to the story missions it moves along pretty good, and each mission is bigger and badder than the last. The side missions were the same 3-4 types over and over, but I didnt do those or shard collecting until I was finished with the main story. Probably the best super hero "powers" based game out there when you combine story, gameplay and art. Graphically, its a little better than GTA4, but powers effects look great. Even when I finished the game I found myself climbing the prison and garbage tower over and over and then thunder dropping down, just because it was so awesome to do. For $26 its a steal.

It is an awesome game. You got it for quite a good price as well. I've beaten the game all the way through being a good hero, and just last night (and the night before) went back and started collecting things (like the blast shards), and I don't find it boring at all like maybe I thought it would be. The story is very good, and the gameplay is fun...it was worth the launch price IMO. Plus they just released the Gigawatt blades free on PSN.

I rented it and enjoyed it a lot. It can get a bit repetitive but it's structured vary well. Just messing around with Cole's powers is pretty fun. You'll definitely get your $25's worth.

Do most people do their first playthrough with good karma? I did, and it looks like everyone here who specified did also.

yeah, i'm doing the good guy thing. i even won a trophy entitled "Doctor Cole" because i heal so many people. sometimes i just run around healing and collecting shards, and killing the occasional reapers that pop up. as someone else mentioned, thunder dropping is a lot of fun...... i like to creep up on the groups of 3 reapers around the fire from a rooftop and say, "do you guys like to party?" then i thunder drop in. most reapers i've taken out with a thunder drop so far is 6 at once. good times.

i'm still pretty newb at this game. oh yeah you owned me in price, i paid $40 +tax for it.

edit: i also did the good guy thing for Fable the first time through, and couldn't do the bad guy thing the second time around when i tried it.

I went through my first playthrough as evil, which I usually do in karmic based games (KotOR, etc.)

thanks.

any ideas on which upgrades to get and which not to? i know in some games you get screwed if you decide to upgrade early and not wait.

i pretty much just upgraded what i could afford (my guy is a positive karma guy). i was so into the game that i kept forgetting to upgrade. lol so when i'd finally remember, i'd have 5000 xp to spend and just do a few, whatever i could afford.

but the obvious good upgrade IMO is the lightning bolts and the quicker charging. also, for the fun factor - the drop upgrades. nothing beats thunder dropping multiple enemies when they have no idea they're about to be owned :) although... i've found that they detect me and start shooting as soon as i jump off the building, which is ok i guess but sort of unrealistic. i don't know about you guys but when i jump off buildings onto a group of bad guys, they don't hear me coming.

(spoiler)
i just got the precision shot unlocked, but i was disappoint to see that it takes up 4 dots per shot. that's too rich for my blood.

also, riding the rails / power lines and being charged simultaneously is pretty cool. you get around quicker, and charge while you're at it.

i love this game. i'm gonna play when i get home.

I really love the world in this game and jumping around, it's so fun!

I definitely will play thru as evil when I'm done; the evil powers seem so much cooler.

So far I've upgraded the lightning bolt, shockwave since i like that power, and the thunder drop. I wanna wait to see what the others are before upgrading anything else; the one that reduces damage and the one that makes you suck power faster seem cool though.

Anyway, really fun game...I'm even having fun doing nothing!

I lold at:

:)

i played a bunch last night... more powers unlocked..... the game is money.

the side missions are a bit repetitive, but i am getting creative with how i kill enemies and travel around the city so it's just more and more fun. like i said sometimes i just look for shards and heal people :D good times :)

playing as evil would definitely have its merits. i wouldn't have to be careful, i'd just shockwave, grenade and thunder drop every living thing. as it is, i try to tread *somewhat* lightly if there are civilians around but not everyone can be spared.

i've also hit the wrong button and arc restrained a few innocent bystanders instead of healing them... lol
