i was checking out quiet fans, when i found this 80mm panaflo. it's supposed to be very quiet, and i was wondering if it would be enough to put on a heatsink. im not looking to overclock, all i want is a very quiet system.
If you're not looking to overclock then an 80mm fan is probably overkill for your processor. Just make sure you have adequate airflow through your case (at least one intake fan in the bottom front of the case and at least one exhaust fan in addition to your power supply in the upper rear of the case) and you should be good to go. Or maybe you feel that your current HSF is too loud. In that case the panaflos are pretty quite and come highly reccomended on this forum.
Also, see this thread for a link to a site where you can listen to recordings of various fans.
