Hey guys I am looking for a new desktop for about $500-600 with at least one 1tb HDD. . basically to store all my cd's in one place. I do have a ipod also.

I have been looking on tigerdirect.com. was looking at a couple ones.

i got a deal (BCB) i5-650,1TB,7hp,8gb DDR3,DVDRW $379 shipped to door.
and week earlier for my htpc
C2Q8300,1TB,8gb DDR2,DVDrw,7hp $359 shipped to door.

it's all in the timing. the c2q is quad core, had a geforce GT220 which can drive two 30" 2560x1600 monitors, the i5-650 was dual core but onboard can drive two 30" 2560x1600.

you need to swap out the core drive with SSD - trust me on that one. even an x25-V for main boot, and you'd be good to go at $500-600

plenty of options - hunt the deal!
