I have grown my nails rather long on my right hand because it makes for some pimpin sounds on the classical guitar... I've had to put nail hardener on my nails to make sure they remain strong. One lady said I had beautiful hands 😉, and I also noticed some teens pointing and laughing at them...

I was going to say it means you're either a goth or a loser although the two are quite similar.
But seeing as you're a classical guitarist, you have a good excuse so while I think they look like crap, you're not yet a loser.

YET.
 
I don't like them (looks-wise, they do not appear dirty to me though), but if they are greatly superior to the metal or plastic finger picks and adds a lot to your music then I can understand your reasoning.
 
Uh... can't you just get something to put over your fingers when you play the guitar that will accomplish the same as having girly nails like that?

But then again, those nails could be useful for popping your zits 😉
 
Yo_Ma-Ma - Classical finger picking sounds terrible with fake metal/plastic finger picks... Those are primarily used for country styles.

btw, this is very hard for me because I used to bite my nails! I say used/b] to because by growing my nails likes this, I have gotten out of that habit 🙂

Well personally, I think they look weird/not attractive but as soon as I see a guitar around any guy's neck they become 10x better looking so I wouldn't worry too much about them. 🙂
 
OmegaNauce - Wow, it would be hard to play the guitar with those nails 😛... especially with the left hand!

I didn't know if he filed them or if someone else did it for him. I don't know very many men who can keep their nails like that. 🙂

It reminds me of those reports of the eccentric recluse, Howard Hughes. You don't walk around the house with kleenex boxes on your feet, do you?

Squisher - I don't have to walk around the house... I got VNC installed on all the windows boxes and SSH on all the FreeBSD boxes... I don't need to leave my room to administer any of them 🙂. Have I mentioned that I am 22 and that I sleep in a bunk bed 😛
