What do you envision other ATers to look like?

Just reading Platinum's thread about how his weight has changed. How do you imagine certain ATer's looking?

I always imagine Skoorb to be heavier than he is. I've seen his pics and he's a pretty good-looking, well-built guy but for some reason some of the caustic humor of his posts make me imagine him as heavier, though not overweight.

I always think of Geekbabe as that tall, willowy type, on the border of being angular but not quite hitting that point, just staying slender.

TommyVercetti I see as a kinda short, fairly muscled guy. Which proves that perception of looks doesn't connect to liking for me, since I don't like him much (probably in reaction to the mocking Christian persona he had for a while.)

I imagine sully (yllus) to be about average height, average-to-good build, clean-shaven, with a good smile.

I think of Dezign as having a petite body (shorter than she is, judging by her pics), a swaying way of walking, and a menacing scowl when she chooses to use it.


None of my imaginings are meant to be derogatory in any way. Just what comes to mind when reading people's posts.

Mill would be a pretty funny guy, almost as boisterous in person as he is online.

I get to meet eakers in a week and one day so I'll let you know how that goes. :)

Oops. Okay, I can do this. I've seen pictures but I know what you're talking about. Formulate an image based on the words. It's good to get away from the all-logic world of comp sci for a while...

- HotChic is a quiet, graceful and petite young woman with a delicate build. If I had never seen a picture I would have guessed a brunette with glasses who tends to draw back into the background and watch others as much as she would participate.

- Skoorb would be a lot the same way, quiet but with a ready smile. Again, opens up when he feels comfortable or is less than sober - as opposed to the HotChic in my mind who would politely drink only Cokes.

- RossMAN is tough. If I had to guess...late twenties or early thirties, behind a desk a lot of the time but in pretty good shape. Typical investment banker type guy you see wearing a suit to work.

- Mill would be a slightly heavier more muscled guy who feels comfortable making casual conversation with anyone.

- justint/tnitsuj looks like a cop, nuff said.

Complaint: There just aren't enough really notable posters on AT anymore to do this. Damn you bland bastards.

Mill, hm? I can see him either as being pretty tall and pretty skinny or, as you said, slightly more muscled (hence his readiness to pick fights ;))

Ross? Early thirties, not overweight but about 6'1" and not "worked" or highly muscled. Susan I see as probably 5'5" to 5'7", made up of nice, normal curves, not really thin but definitely good-looking.

Oh, and MrsSkoorb has rosy cheeks, a read smile, is a tad shorter, and prettily-built, cute curves, dark (brown or black) hair.

Every time I have met someone I have talked to on the phone or chatted with, they have never been what I expected. Personality yes but physically no.

nice looking guys
ugly guys

I'm pretty sure an ugly girl hasn't posted a pic on here

I do resemble my avatar, a Walmart rent-a-cop, :p j/k

I am 6' and Susan is I dunno how tall (they use the metric system in Australia). I'd guess 5'4" but she is nice and curvy :D
