What do you eat on a daily basis?

I was discussing with my friends what they eat on a daily basis. I go to work, have a sandwich at like 2-3, and then some kind of dinner when I go home. No breakfast or snacks really... I dont much like them. Sometimes I will bring some cookies, but not every day.

Most of them have like cereal, yogurt, fruit, sandwiches, cheese, salad, etc... all during the day every day. And they think I am strange for not eating that much. I just call them gluttons though.

What do you think and what do you usually eat every day?

WTF are you talking about? Emrys and I listed essentially the same things as you, except I added in some liquids and the occasional bowl of cereal...which is equivalent to your occasional cookies. So Emry eats a granola bar, that hardly qualifies him as a "glutton."

edro listed more, but not so much as to say it is "so much food."

Just curious, are your teeth in good condition? My dentist told me that the worst thing someone can do to their teeth is slowly sip coffee throughout the day.

I don't drink a ton of coffee...maybe 2 small-medium cups a day. My teeth are fine, I think it's time for another whitestrip zapping though.

8am: Coffee mixed with a packet of hot chocolate (good kick start!)
12pm: Can of chicken noodle soup... maybe a sandwich.
3pm: Snack of some sort ranging from Brocoli to M&M's.
6pm: Cooked dinner that always involves Meat, potatoes (either sweet or regular), corn (swap this out with asparagus, green beans or black-eyed peas).
9pm: Maybe a bowl of regular oatmeal mixed with a bit of brown sugar(nevar teh instant crap... NEVAR!)

Interspersed through this is a bottle or two of Diet Dr. Pepper (have no idea how I got addicted to them) and if I have it in the house I will end the day with a glass of red wine (muscadine Noble Red for the heart benefits).

Wait... you start every day by assaulting yourself with some coffee/hot chocolate combo and think that a glass of red wine at night is going to save you?

Strange... Though I guess the stuff in between is healthy enough.

My philosophy is what is the point of living if you can't enjoy it? Not to say I should abuse myself, but if I spend all of my time worrying about what I consume I have defeated the point. I simply enjoy the coffee in the morning. Honestly though, that is mostly only during the winter months. The rest of the year you can replace that with either a bottle of juice or just sip on one of the bottles of Diet Dr. Pepper.

i start every morning with three bowls of assorted cereal (usually chocolate something)
then i have about two glasses of OJ on top of that.
between breakfast and lunch i go get myself mcgriddle and (during my break) take about 2 vicodin.
then at lunch, once im feeling really downed out and good, i tend to go out to someplace near work. maybe get a rack of ribs, 4-5 rolls of sushi or ill just gobble an entire pizza.
then about 2 hours later, i pop a demerol.
i generally consume about a pot of coffee a day.
at around 4 its time for my second snack, usually an entire box of poptarts.
dinner tends to be something like a turducken stuffed with sausage.
right before sleep i eat a pint of ben and jerrys that i mix with half a jar of peanut butter and marshmellow fluff.

the above list is how all the food anyone that didnt list a single sammich a day looks like to beattie.
perhaps that will help put it in persepctive for all you non-beatties.

So much? Are you on crack? I would starve on so little as people are describing here.

Typical day:

Breakfast: Bowl of cereal (not the 2oz serving listed on the box, more like 8-10oz at least), banana chopped up & in the cereal, coffee

pre-lunch snacks: 1 or 2 bags of popcorn from vending machine, 1 or 2 candy bars, soda.

lunch: Usually eat out at various local restaurants, might get a 10oz burger with bacon & cheese w/fries & a drink, or maybe some pasta (they generally have HUGE pasta servings, got to be 2-3 lbs), usually with a cream sauce, or maybe 3 slices of pizza & a drink, or maybe a cheesesteak & fries, or some chinese food.

between lunch & dinner: maybe half the snacking of between breakfast & lunch, more if lunch was pizza as that is not so filling.

dinner: usually cook myself, most common would be a half pound of pasta & some sauce. Maybe a snack or 2 after that, like a sandwich or some crackers, maybe some ice cream too.

I used to consume much more back in HS/college and a couple years after that.
I once finished off 5 large pizzas in a sitting. And had had 3 or 4 2 liter bottles of soda, a pounder of M&M's, a "family size" bag of nachos, several "king size" snickers & butterfingers, a 1lb burger, some bagels with cream cheese & lox, & a lot of coffee earlier that day. And back then I weighed 160 (6'0").

Before moving to NY my grocery bill was more than my rent bill. It's not that the food has gotten any cheaper...
