Trying to cut sugary sodas to zero but they are tempting. I drink tea as well but I put sugar in it, also my favorite tea flavors all have caffeine which makes me slightly jittery if I drink too much of it.

Just looking for fluid suggestions, so what is your favorite pre-workout, post workout, or overall drink?

At this point just water. Occasionally a fruit juice if it's 100% juice. I probably don't work out hard enough to require anything more than water.

Water, tea, or coffee. Whatever is zero calories works for me. I'm not worried about drinking too much caffeine, because I don't consume it on the daily. I too get jittery when I have too much of it, though.

1. Mostly water.

2. Smoothies (usually with protein), although they're more of a meal-replacement kind of thing. Sometimes I make treats (orange julius or interesting stuff like avocado shakes). Good starting point here:

3. Sometimes fresh juice (that I make myself). I just got an amazing citrus juicer:

I made lemonade with it today, it was pretty good! I also have a regular juicer. Carrot-apple juice (5:1) is like liquid crack, that stuff WILL wake you up in the morning! It's a bit of a chore to clean up the big juicer, plus you have to have fresh produce on hand, so I don't use it very often.

Water mostly. I tend to drink about 48 ounces between the time I wake up and the time I leave for work (about 2 hours, usually includes a 2 mile run). Yeah, remember to pee RIGHT before you leave the house or the morning commute can really be uncomfortable. Lot's more water throughout the day.

Beer sometimes. I like beer. I don't drink a ton of it, but when I do drink it, I really enjoy it and I can put a few away without much concern or problem.

Wine rarely. Mostly red, I like to have some wine every now and then.

That's about it. I do drink Kefir, but I think that is mostly like yogurt (cultured milk). While it is a drink, I don't really consider it one. Just a swig or two before or after a workout.

Hmmm this sounds interesting. So 5 carrots to 1 apple? Granny smith apple?

I found a recipe with beets:

2 medium beets, trimmed and scrubbed
1 Granny Smith apple, peeled and cored
3 medium carrots, peeled
1 tablespoon chia seeds, optional

Juice, in this order, the beets, apples and carrots, following your juicer's specific settings for each. Stir in the chia seeds if using and let soak for 5 minutes. Serve the juice immediately over ice, if desired.

Yeah, I usually use something sweet like a Fuji or whatever is available. The apple is more to add some sugary sweetness to help the carrot taste. You can add more or less carrots & apple depending on how strong you want the flavor.

I've been working more with beets lately, I'll give it a shot thanks! Big fan of chia seeds as well.

There is this Russian guy at my gym who is really big, so in order to follow what I only imagine he drinks, I now drink Vodka while working out.

At home and work though, I drink mostly water. I am cutting out caffeine myself, so strictly water.

I'm actually trying to stay away from diet soft drinks. For the longest time, I drank them exclusively over regular unless mixing them with alcohol. Now, I drink coffee, water, unsweetened tea, Coca-Cola, and the only diet exception I make is Diet Mtn Dew.

I don't drink milk except on occasion and my wife is staying away from it. She's replaced it with unsweetened almond milk.
