You youngsters-I was one of the paranoid oldies who wouldn't touch the mouse, etc. while burning. And for good reason-stuff like burn-proof is only a little more than a year old (still don't have a personal burner with it) and burning software back 2-3 years ago was a whole lot less polished than it is now. Plus CD blanks don't cost a couple of bucks APIECE now-I used to really flinch when I made a coaster.
I remember someone on this board posting a story about their boss checking wastepaper baskets for coasters and chewing out those who made too many.
Anyway, since I still don't have burnproof, at work (SCSI) I essentially do anything but something that requires intense disk access-like formatting a floppy. At home (IDE) I browse or take a break.
I prefer half size cases or paper sleeves for games & apps, full size cases for audio. I never ever use CD labels-am paranoid they will throw the CD off balance or worse.
