What do you do when you miss your regular exercise?

I have been trying to ride my bike at least 20 miles a day lately. Well, today I really didn't have time all day, I was just too busy. However, now that's it's getting dark, I have a couple hours of free time. The roads I normally ride on are rural roads through farmland, for the most part, but I don't like riding on those at night, as the roads are narrow, and my bike, even with lights, is harder to see at night, plus my headlight isn't really bright enough to light up the road that well and it makes it hard to avoid potholes and such.

I think I'll just go out and do a lap around the perimeter of town, but stay mostly where there are streetlights. It should be about 12 or 13 miles. Better than nothing, I suppose.

What do you do when you just don't have time for your full regular workout?

I just don't exercise.

It was raining heavily and I didn't have an umbrella today. So I went home instead because it was much closer. Arizona monsoons are more like small, localized hurricanes. It'd be just plain dangerous to stay outside in that after a long workout at the gym.

A possibility might be getting one of those bike stands so that you could cycle at home or in your driveway, etc.

feel guilty.

then i get back to it the next day and get over it.

Yup.

Though I have to medicate my guilt with valium and alchohol. And I usually end up sobbing in the tub.

Next day is back to business though.
