You could put a bunch of foul language in your meta tags. Of course, you'll never know what type of "clientele" you would be drawing to your site.

one word:

p0rn!

just kidding ;)

It really depends on what you're promoting/selling/doing. I tried to look at your site, but I get Java Script errors?

In order to promote your site, you could use any of the following:
1) Word of mouth - never underestimate this one.
2) Search engine submission/placement and meta tags.
3) Affiliate with other sites.
4) Site of the day type places are your friends.
5) Mailing list (not spam, but an opt-in list).
6) Update often--to keep them coming back.

Of course, content is a biggie too. People need a reason to come back to your site. Getting people there is only half the battle. Also keep modem users, blind people, etc. in mind when designing.

The important thing is making a good site...if it's good people will join with little or no advertising required.
