What do you do to combat mental fatigue?

Just curious. I stay mentally fatigued, and sleeping doesn't always help either, especially when I have super vivid dreams. Caffiene, food, exercise, watching TV, nothing works.

It's annoying because as a child I had extreme amounts of mental endurance. Now my mind just seems fuzzy quite a bit.

Could it be the extreme dreaming?

Redbull keeps me alert when I have to drive early in the morning or late at night. It really works pretty well.

What about long study sessions? I'm planning on going back to college, and I want to be in top metal shape.

I didn't start using it until i was a senior, so i don't know about studying. It fights of that head-nodding, eyes-blinking feeling.

you're missing the key ingredients
[*]alcohol
[*]ladies
[*]dancing
mix generously to cure even your most extreme case of mental fatigue.

I've tried low carb, low protein, low both, high both, not eating, eating all of the time, none of those seem to help.

Maybe I just need to take a nice vacation and go fishing.

drink a lot of liquid. and do some exercise everyday to raise your heartbeat. after a bit, you will feel "healthier" and definitely feel more energy

you're a college student and you want to go fishing to clear your head? seriously man, what you need to do is get trashed every weekend this summer and just party your ass off. it seems like you need to unwind a bit before you start the fall semester - i don't think it's an issue of mental fatigue, i think it's just a lack of stimulation.

What can I say? I'm a southern boy. I grew up on a watermelon farm in the pine forests of Mississippi.

I've already had my wild streak. It consisted of highlighting my hair. :)
