I currently assembled my new computer. I have a Hercules 3D Prophet II MX Dual-Display graphic card. It?s based on nVIDIA GeForce2 MX chipset. I also had this card in my old computer. What I also had was a Creative Mpeg-2 Dxr2 card. As you may know, with this card you have to connect the monitor to this card and this card to your graphic card. So the video signal goes through this before seeing it on your monitor.
I decided not to include my old Dxr2 card on my new system. My monitor is connected directly to my graphic card.I have a LCD Nokia 500Xa monitor.
The problem with my new system is that I?m not satisfied with the color profile.
I don?t know but with the dxr2 everything looked perfect. I didn?t see any artifacts in jpeg images or in QuickTime movies! Now I see them and I?m not sure if it?s a simple brightness, contrast problem.
Is there any way or program that I can use to properly adjust the color settings of both my graphic card and LCD monitor? What do you do to adjust your color settings? I mean you need a reference. (I know how to use the brightness, contrast, and gamma buttons!)
Another question for example. How do you see this picture? Do you see any artifacts? Is the contrast OK for you?
