What do you do if you just eradicated DirectX off your system and now you can't get one to install?

I have a sh!tload of dx install files but they all want other dx files that are no longer there.

run windows update.

this will uninstall directx: http://www.softpedia.com/get/Security/Secure-cleaning/DirectX-Eradicator.shtml

then reinstall from here: http://www.microsoft.com/windows/directx/default.mspx


if that doesn't work looks like you'll have to reinstall windows.
