What do you do if you fell asleep early at 8pm

but woke up at 11pm? Have to be in at work around 8am.
I hate when this happens and I should've stayed away from the bed.

There are blue light filter apps for android like Twilight which is more comfortable for the body to get ready for sleep in the evening. Use a warm setting for the computer monitor and warm/incandescent lighting for the bedroom. Or just stay away from computer monitors and electronic screens when its late.

Melatonin. Take 1 half an hour before retiring, or in your case, right after you wake up. Non habit forming.

Done it many times. Hit the head, surf for 15 minutes, set the radio on timer, close my eyes.
Usually works. Sometimes I stay up for a few hours. Then in that short sleep time between roughly 4 and 6, I often have the most bizarre dreams.
