I see a whole lot of different ways to simply say:

<< I whore myself every night/day >>

I presently work at a Radio Shack.

I don't like it not because it in and of itself sucks but because its not where I want to be but money wise it keeps the wolves at bay as my grandmother put it.

My dream job right now is something remotely related to what I got my degree in (BSEE specializing in digital systems particularly embedded systems). So if you any of you guys work at companies hiring relatively entry-level people go ahead and pm or e-mail me ;). hehe

I'm a runner/computer guy for a local real estate company. Work on their website, which needs a lot of work I might add, page layout for information on homes, a lot of junk for the boss too..

It's a decient job, I get paid a lot better than anyone in my school, I'm only 18 too, so it beats flipping burgers or delivering pizza.

dream job: something in graphics or webpage design, I'd like to be able to cross over in between the two.

Ameesh, I'm curious as to how many hours do you end up working on a typical week?

I'm a database manager at a not-for-profit company.

i wish i had a typical week to give you an example, but all i can say is it depends, if we are in ship mode i.e before a milestone like Beta or RC1 or RTM then everyone here works like mad (60-80 hours), if we are in the middle of stuff then (20-40). Work is flexible and i rarely feel overworked, in fact usually after a milestone ship, our division buys a couple of theaters out and takes us all to the movies, the last one i saw was JP3, or we have parties. When im working hard everyone else is too, when im not most people arent either. Like for the month of december people are taking 4 weeks off, im only taking 2 because i think 4 is excessive.

Professional Geek. I enjoy what i do, but recent turnover in upper management has made me get my resume updated and sent out.

I'm a full time college student and work part time for a software development company. It's alot of fun, I can't wait to get out of school and work full time there!;)

In the past I did freelance stuff for TV (grip, camera op/assistant, etc.) to get cash.
Currenty I'm just looking for anything that gives me money.
After I get a "day job" I can get back to editing indie/low budget films/documentaries nights/weekends 'cause editing is what I'm going to do until they pry they keyboard out of my cold, dead hands. :)

P.I. More like Rockford on a bad day than anything remotely glamorous. I fell into it years ago, and lack ambition. Actually, in my head, I feel more like Nick Danger, third eye, than anyone else.

My business card says "Technical Analyst" but I am actually a lot closer to a desktop support guy...
