What do you do during a long flight?

I'm curious what you guys/gals do to keep yourself occupied during a long flight (3 hours or more) assuming that you are traveling alone.

For me, I've been to many flights the past couple of months. I'm thinking of getting a DS Lite to keep me occupied. I'm not an avid fan of reading, so I normally just look outside the window.

Read crappy airline magazine and do the crossword puzzle in the back to ruin fun for next person.

I usually freak out. But it would be interesting to play Flight Simulator during a flight...

Read magazines.

Nothin like drooling through a Dupon Registery magazine for a few hours. Watch the in-flight movie.

One time they had on the Divine Secrets of the Ya Ya Sisterhood. I ended up watching due to my asshat travel companion for work. Better to watch then talk to that Jordanain clown.

Watch porn on the lappy and fap off. Occassionally I have orgies with the flight attendents.

LAPTOP! LAPTOP! LAPTOP! LAPTOP! If your laptop can't survive a 6 hour flight, it's WORTHLESS IMO. :p Seriously though, get a laptop, especially one with good battery life.

I usually read and watch movies, if I'm in first or business class, I usually get half ass drunk and pass out... back in the day they use to have dom perion in first on United and I would drink the hell outta that the whole flight....now the service sucks compared to what it was 8 or so years ago... I cashed in a FF round the world ticket in first (they cut out the Delhi flight so this is what I got in return) to go to Hong Kong, Sydney, Amsterdam, and RIO all in first....and it was the ******....now most US airlines first class's suck.....Luftansa and Singapore FTW

I tell myself I'll read most of a book but I usually end up listening to a bunch of music. I've found long trance mixes like Tiesto's In Search of Sunrise series or the latest episode of A State of Trance from Armin van Buuren keeps me occupied.

JFK - DXB ( 13 hours )

1) Sleep - 3 Hours
2) Listen to music - 3 hours
3) Watch movies ( 2-3 ) - 5 hours
4) Chat with the person sitting beside me ( if he/she is interesting ) - 2 hours

Thats pretty much how I spend my time on flight.. Chatting with the person beside me is somethign I like doing a lot. Last time I travelled, I was sitting next to a Columbia Professor who was just returning from Kabul.. Had a 4-5 hour discussion with him on World affairs, architecture, Afghanistan.. was a lot of fun :)

I fall asleep before takeoff. But yeah, if you're awake that's a problem. On previous flights, what did you wish you could have been doing?
Do that.

On a flight that's 3-hours long, music and a good book are good enough. Maybe a nap if I get a headache. On a longer flight, I try to sleep as much as possible.

I usually read magazines, watch the movies, have a few mixed drinks (internationally), sleep, look out the windows (if anything interesting). Even this was not enough on the 9 hour flight from London to Delhi.

I sit and stay quiet. Look out the window, order drinks, listen to music, watch movies, relax basically. No laptops.
