I rinse it - unbearable taste.

Then why buy it? You're not supposed to rinse or put any other foods/liquids in your mouth for thirty minutes of you want it to work properly.

So I take it that you don't read the instructions on the back of the bottle?

The burn and bad taste lets you know its working. Things that don't do either are more than likely bad for you. The rub of life.

You don't want to drink Listerine. As a sick joke, a friend of mine poured out half his roommate's NyQuil bottle and replaced it with Listerine. The kid had a crappy cold and was pretty much chugging the stuff. Probably not good for you to begin with, but the Listerine made it worse. The guy made a remark about the NyQuil tasting weird (when doesn't it?), then a few minutes later felt sick. He began puking soon after.

U have to rinse after. Listerine will help remove the plaque. The plaque is just gonna sit there if u don't rinse it out. Tongue scraper! But studies have shown too much Listerine = Oral cancer.

DDS here. U should spit the listerine out and then rinse with water. The one u just spit out is the fluoride rinse. There, end of subject.
