What do you consider to be competitors of Mitsubishi Lancer RalliArt?

A friend's pop just bought a Lancer RalliArt 2004 for $32k Canadian out the door. Fully loaded. 5yr @ 2.9% financing.

What competition is there against the Lancer or others that you think may be a better value?

Would you ever consider a Mitsubishi?

The mazda 3, Nissan Sentra SE-R, Civic SI, Corolla XRS, and more. I'm sorry, but the Lancer Ralliart doesn't hold a candle to these.

Would I ever consider a Mitsubishi? No. Bad resale, very questionable reliability, lesser ergonomics that it's competitors, and it's kinda ugly.

Well, considering he even considered a Kia at one point, that tells you just how much he knows about cars

Neither do I, but he should have taken more time car shopping. He bought the car the same day he saw it for the very first time. He's an impulse buyer.
