11-30, Pretty safe depending on the price of the item

31-70, You have really made an effort to make all your trades work out.

71-125, Good Trader

125-200, Great Trader

200+ You are a FS/FT Guru

500+ Wow, just wow.

With all due respect (sluggo is one of our better traders), that's just silly. The number of trades means little, up to a point. A person could have 201 trades and lots of comments that reflect things like slow shipping, poor communication, etc.

My standards:
Less than 50, you ship first. Any negatives or neutrals that weren't resolved to the satisfaction of both parties, you ship first.
If you have 50+ positive I will pay first even though I may have more Heat than you. Unless something seems hinky about the deal.

One other thing I look at. If they have their rig in their sig, I assume that they are not very bright and might have trouble following through on a deal.

I say it also depends on the heat left, if its for stickers I dont care if you have 50. I only have 8, but everyone I have dealt with is satisfied with that because of who the heat has come from, whats been said, and what has been sold/bought. If I dont rip someone off on $1600 in giftcards... dont think I will on a $100 piece of ram or something. And the fact Ive been a member for 5 years.... someone new with 20 heat on $3l items, that joined 3 weeks ago, is semi suspicious.

I have a Dell Dimension 4600. But I'm not a hardcore 1337 gamer hax0rz like you guys are.

My most "intense" applications are Trillian and FireFox, so that's why I had to upgrade to a P4 2.8/800 :p

i don't know many people with as much heatware as you have that deal this way. Generally if they have over 25 and i can recognize who they have delt with and if they have recent trades I have no problem cross shipping.

I think I have 1 heat.

But it's from RossMAN, so that should be good enough. ;)

Doesn't look like you left him any. What's up with that?

EDIT
Maybe I should leave him some for all the bandwidth I bought from him?

I'd say 20 but I also look at how long they have been trading. i.e: 20+ heat all in 2005 = not totally established / 20+ heat starting in 2002 to 2005 = established.
