What do you clean your windsheild with?

I have yet to find something that doesn't leave streak remnants to some degree on my windsheild when I clean it. Windex leaves streaks as well. Best combo I've found so far is ammonia + water, but that sucks too =\

What does everyone else use?

If windex leaves streaks then you're not doing it right. But if you need to, find some of the glass cleaner that comes in an aerosol can, it comes out as a foam but it works great.

Bon Ami works great.
It comes in either powder or foaming spray, and it never scratches your windshield.
After a few cleaning (to get EVERYTHING off the windshield), I apply RainX. Awesome stuff!

<< how often do you have to apply rainx? >>

I'd say about every other month if the car stays fairly clean, once a month otherwise.

when you notice it stops sheeting rain off as well as it did before. really depends on how much it rains in your area. last time I applied rainx was about 3 months ago and it is still going strong.

Yup glass wax works real well, though it does leave that dust you'll have to clean up. No streaks though!

Sprayway Glass cleaner is a very good commercial glass cleaner. It will not leave the streaks like windex does. I work for a national autoglass replacement company and we have been using it for years.

Do not use newspaper! It is too coarse and leaves micro-fine scratches in the glass.

Ammonia & Water and a small Squeegee. Simple Green works wonders also, if you dilute it down enough.
