Honestly, what do you call them?

I've only heard people call The University of Texas Longhorns:

shorthorns - by OU
tu - by Texas A&M

I mean, I don't go around calling them UO Laters or TX mAt.

Yeah, they suck, but I don't call them anything but their official names.

Colorado Buffalos = Buffies

Not that they're offended, but still fun to call them that. Rest of Big 12, can't think of anything.

I like both K-State and Kansas, but they call each other the KSU "Mildcats" and the KU "Gayhawks"

I graduated from the University of Kansas (KU), and we are the Jayhawks. We are typically called Gay-U (by people from K-State) due to the "large" homosexual population on campus and in Lawrence. We are also referred to as Chicken-hawks.

I refer to our rival K-State as "Silo Tech" due to the fact they are in the middle of no-where in rural Kansas and offer a big agriculture program.

Poor Buffalos... so sad. They haven't had a decent team in years.

I've also heard "Farmer U" for K-State.

I just remembered, Nebraska = Bugeaters. But hey, that's their official nickname at one time. :)

We call them aggies and sooners, respectively. That's insult enough. The sooners are definitely the better off of the two.

Appearantly the mature young adults at A&M were chanting: "Hey tea sipper, you're gay!" to some of the longhorn band. Talk about a quality rival

They live in college station. Their entire academic program pales in comparison. They have to deal with the corp. And, on top of that, they get blown out every year in football now. Yup, 'Aggie' is enough of an insult now.

At least Sooners have some worthwhile stuff on their campus. I heard they had a few good museums, for example. Of course that doesn't cover up the fact that their sophomore, honors EEs don't know what KCL is, but I digress. And I respect their football team, at least, untill they lost to Kansas State. A&M, on the other hand, is just completely and utterly worthless. Absolutely nothing of any value within 100 miles. And, on top of that, Aggies seem hell-bent on making every single person in their life know they are an aggle with every single maroon shirt, car, and bumper sticker they can get their hands on.

I hate A&M, as an entity, more than I have ever hated any other single group in my life.

OU lost to K-State. Get it straight. For a minute you were giving KU's football program WAY too much credit.

Yeah, I don't know how those people can live with themselves.
