I'm making infused vodkas as Christmas gifts for my friends and I was originally going to just gift them out in Ball jars, but someone suggested I look for something like this instead:

I'll be damned if I can figure out the proper name of this type of bottle, though, so my Amazon searches aren't going well. :(

Grolsch seems to be the only ones that still use this bottle, so just buy a case...

Anyway, I always called these 'swingtop' bottles. google images seems to agree with this name.

thanks x2!

looks like these are a little more expensive than I want to go for this year, but something to keep in mind for next year

(these are mostly just intent as small gifts for people that I don't normally exchange gifts with)

Ez-cap, bale-top, wire bale top, swing-top, I've seen a few different names for them. MY friend and I all though they were very distinctive back in the day, but I didn't really like the beer.

Some mead at a local store comes in beautiful cobalt blue bottles of that type.

EZ-cap is a brand name isn't it? Swing top is the generic name I've heard. Buying the grolsch and dumping it out is often cheaper than buying the bottle though. I was looking at getting some for some hard cider I was making ended up getting regulars since they wanted like $30 for 12 ex caps.

If you have a recycling center, give them a call and they may have some swing tops for you on the cheap though. You can also find them on craigslist marketed to homebrewers as well (used grolsch)

Whatever you do, get them local. Shipping is insane on the bottles everywhere I looked.

Note that grolsch bottles are meant to take pressure from carbonation. You may be able to get cheaper weaker swing top bottles still suitable for your usage.

(Don't brew beer and use cheaper weaker swing top bottles to bottle the beer. Trust me.)

360 vodka uses bottles like that, its ~$15 for a 750ml and pretty damn good vodka
